Years Prior, I Surfed A "Secret Spot" Between Oceanside & Carlsbad.  And During One "Dawn Patrol" Session at the "spot" I recall This 7 year old Toe head In The Line Up At "MY"  Spot.

I saw This Little Spider Armed Kid
Paddle For A Wave That Already Was Breaking,  He Paddled,Paddled, Paddled And Actually Drifted Himself Over The Falls, And Got On His Feet, And Rode The Wave To The Shoulder And Kicked Out !!!
His Other Grommet Buddy in The Line Up, Was yelling
"Go Joey" Go Joey" !!!

Years Later, I realized That I Shared My "Secret Spot"
That day with The "Carlsbad Kid" Surf Legend
Joey Buran. You Go "Joey"...

You Must realize, that This was The First "Airs" Being
Done Prior To "Kelly (The King) Slater !!!
And He Caught an Already "Breaking Wave".

I Thought To Myself, "What Is This Kid Doing"
Once He Got On His Feet, Going Over The Falls,
I Said To Myself... "SURFING HAS CHANGED FOREVER"

And Looking Back, I Was Right !!!!!!!!
